 Subject: power loss

I have heard that Chysler had set up the computers on 4.7 Dakotas to only allow 60% of total power of usage. The reason was that the trans. would not hold up for 100,000 miles. Has anyone heard anything about this or is this another rumor. Also has anyone done any true rear wheel dino testing to see just what the real horsepower is at the rear wheel.

THE A-500 IS A FLIMZ, BUT THE 518 REBUILT WITHSTANDS MY STROKED 400. THE J.V.X. ADAPTER WAS SHOWN TO ME WHEN I GOT AN ITCH FOR MORE POWER
(MoPar)FOR MY VALIANT. I WENT FROM 16.55sec/Q
TO 9.95sec/Q AND I NEVER GET TO 4th GEAR IN THAT TIME. DRAWBACKS ARE BROKEN SPRINGS, BENT PUSHRODS, TWO BLOWN DIFFS, AND MY WIRING SMOKED.
