Message: You don't have to, but if you want, go ahead. As I understand it, resetting it will cause it to go back to the factory default settings, and it will "forget" everything that it has "learned" from you so far. If you do, as I understand it the PCM will learn faster how to deal with less backpressure. I didn't reset mine when I put on my cat-back...the only thing mine did for a while was feel like it was bogging a bit during wide open throttle shifts. It eventually figured out what to do.
