Before i start, i just want to clarify that i have a 2000 5.9 Durango.
This particular day i was driving the wife's 2001 Jetta VR6. A 4.7 Dakota came along side me and started pulling ahead, then slow down, then again the same thing, so i thought, ok, let's have a little fun. We both jumped on it at around 60mph. By 80mph i was about 1 car length ahead, by 115mph, he was way back there. That's when i shut down.
Then he comes flying past me. ok, i thought that was the end of it. To my suprise. The A-hole slowed down and wouldn't let me pass. I moved to the left, he would cut me off and slow down. I thought wow, what an Ass. Then, i punched it, as, i was moving to the slow lane, the M/F tried to run me off the road, i was half way on the shoulder, then just stomped on it and gave him the middle finger salute.
All i'm saying, is, if your gonna lose, lose gracefuly. Because, if you don't, your girlfriend beside you will just give you grief for the rest of the day.
Because, as, i got back in front of him, looking at my rear view mirror, his chick was screaming at him, and pointing her finger in his face. lol

The VR6 ain't turbo charged and it sounds like the Dak ran him and not the other way around so the Dak deserved the MAJOR ASS WHOOPING he got.
If that had been me I would have shot out all his tires and then when he pulled over I would have blown both his knee caps off. You don't do shlt like that.

dakota was out of its powerband, bad decision on his part, along with the other stuff. i veraced a few from a stop and beat them in the 1/4. but they have better top end.
You gotta ask yourself one question...That Thing Got A HEMI???

Yes, I do have a yz400, and i love it. Use my 2000 durango to haul it around.
I do mostly desert riding here in Arizona. A lot of fun.

uhhhhh, the guy is a moron. Trucks are designed to haul things, not race. Its got great low end torque, and if its an automatic, he was probably already in 4rth or 5th gear at 60. So he pretty much turned the tables on himself thats stupid. Volkswagons got some weird stuff, that horizontally opposed crap is some crazy engineering, along with the 2 intake and 3 exhaust valves per cylinder, and DOHC, of course you are going to beat him starting at 60mph and up.

dakotas arent all for hauling stuff, mines for bruisin. The only reason i bought the thing is because of a lack of HighPerformance RWD cars that are affordable. RWD kickass. V8s kickass, stickshift kicksass. Nuff said?

It's a 98 yz400f, 4-stroke with a desert tank, fmf pipe and header. Very fast, raced a DS650 and a Raptor before.
They get me off the line dure to traction, by mid 2nd gear, i am up to them and accelerating much faster up to a top speed of around 90 mph.
I would love to have a Honda CRF450.

Trucks aren't for racing? Hmm, seems to me there's a whole list of people you need to tell that too. Like everyone involved in the Nascar Truck series and this guy named Carol who thought the Dak was worth his time.
