Message: Some people have mentioned this in the past (1.6 in, 1.7 out), but as far as I'm aware nobody has actually implemented it.
I do know that at hundreds if not thousands (when you add up all the various brands) of 5.2/5.9 owners are using the 1.7's on both the intake and exhaust with no problems at all.

The factory valve cover gaskets have a thick rubber coating and are generally ok to re-use multiple times before requiring replacement.

Message: Put my 1.7 HS rr on last sunday, and have put 700 miles on them already. They have brought the low end tourqe back to my truck and made the top end stronger also. It made my third gear slip a little at full throttle. Guess I need a trans kit now. Mileage is up too...
thanks John

Message: I checked out the website, and I'm going to go with HS's 1.7 rocker arms. For those of you already running them, did you change springs, pushrods, etc.? If so, to what? Do the rockers hit the stock valve covers?
Thanks!

If you have a basic engine setup then you should be fine to run them as-is, though it never hurts to upgrade your other components while you've got the valve covers off. If you're going to rev above 5400rpm, it is recommended that you buy hardened pushrods.
You do not need to modify or replace the valve covers with 1.7 non-adjustable HS rockers.

Message: i ordered the 1.7 rockers for the special price and finally installed them yesterday. took about 5 hours all together. gettin the valve covers off wasnt easy and there were a lotta wires in the way..... not to mention those stupid plastic clips that go on the valve cover bolts to hold the spark plug wires away from the headers..... those were a biatch to get off. the actual roller rocker install wasnt bad though. when i first started it up it sounded really rough as if it had a crazy cam in it but then it smoothed out. it definately has more pep around town but i havent opened it up all the way yet cause i want them to break in properly. anyways thats my story.... very satisfied wit the rockers, very well made pieces. oh and im going to englishtown, nj this sat for the street wars so ill get to test them out then. its gonna be a great day and its all american vs. all import shootout. supposed to be sunny too so ill def be there. i hope to see some of u guys there too.... last time i was there there was only 1 other R/T but there were like 5 lightnings.

Message: I'm still waiting for mine. I guess HS ran out because so many
people were ordering them because of this deal.
Do you think I should reset the computer after I install these? Or
should I just dive with them for a while and let it adjust?

Message: i took my truck to the track today and the only difference from the last time i raced was these 1.7 roller rockers that i installed. last time i ran a 14.9 at 91mph with a 2.25 60' time and this time i ran a 14.6 at 93mph with a 2.35 60' time. last time it was warmer out though but if i coulda gotten a better 60' time i may have gone don to a 14.4 or so. this was on the stock RSAs.
