Subject: POLL: Quicker when cool? IP: Logged
Message: After arguing about this in the 180 degree thermostat thread, I have an unscientific poll.
For those of you who frequent the dragstrip.
Your truck runs quicker, with a lower ET and higher MPH when:
a) The engine is HOT
b) The engine is COOL
c) There is no difference in times or speed based on temperatures
If you haven't gone to the track or there's not one in your area but have some sort of observation about how your truck feels.
a) It feels faster when it's HOT
b) It feels faster when it's COOL
c) It feels the same either way
Please post your findings along with your location and truck/engine type.
Thanks for your participation.

Message: The PCMs are tuned for best power at 182 degrees. They run cleaner at 195 degrees. So, 180 degree engine, ice the intake.
