that depends.
If you are going to do a cam then
you should consider heads also.
Too big of a cam=problems with pcm,vacumn
and possibly less power.
call Dan the fastman.

aight thanks....i have headers, msd ignition, and exhaust. doesn't know if that narrows it down. and do u need lifters for the cams to be of good use or do the lifters not make that big off a difference

The lifters get tired too, especially if you're moving up in the stress they will endure. Can't see a difference in the stockers and the MP units. They are probably better built in their tolerances, but otherwise?

The R/T cam works great on a 5.2L, with headers, PCM,underdrive pulleys,6psi boost and a powerdyne S/C. My friends 97 5spd RC is putting down 320RWHP. No intercooler, yet! It should at least do the same on a 5.9L.

Actually the R/T cam is a nice blower cam. Very well-mannered and pretty good power.
