you guys are great... i got a good laugh reading this. i can speak about these cars because i had both. 95 5.0 GT and a 94 T/A they both were great cars but i have to say that the stang was the better of the two. handling was better in the stang and the parts were cheaper. what it all boils down too is the fact that any car can be bad a$$ if you have the cash to throw at it. my stang was a road car and the T/A was a drag car. JC was right about the fact that the T/A does not deal well with boost. the rings in mine were gone in only 3 months with 9 lbs of boost. on the other hand the 302loved the boost 9lbs as well...never had on problem with the stock bottomend. you mention the 94 up stangs couldn't compete...you are very wrong. heads intake exhaust and a blower and i was in the 11.40's on street tires. 11.90's in the T/A set up for drag and my stang was set up for SCCA. i loved(get that LOVED)both cars but i decided to move on and thats why i have the Dak now. this debate will go on for years and it is always going to end up the same way. TIED!

well no crap your 94 didnt handle 9#s of boost... you had an LT1 with 11.25:1 compression running 9#'s of boost... what did you expect?

That year 5.0 probably had about 9.0:1 compression.. thats why it handled the boost better.

He was referring to a LS1 which i believe has between 9 and 9.5:1 compression.. depending on year.

and you just said it yourself... your Mustang handled better... maybe because you made it a road car and the T/A a drag car... drag cars dont handle! they go straight!

and i was talking about stock for stock on the 94 and up comparo... not new motor with blower...
i guess you didnt do the heads/intake/blower/exhaust for the T/A?.. because you didnt mention that!

geez... please dont make it so easy next time.

intense...put down the crack pipe before you get your panties in a wad. did i hurt your feelings? you have the be the biggest cry baby i have every seen. the T/A had ported heads, intake and exhaust and the comment about the handling was prior to any modification to either car. dude chill you are going to have a stroke and guess what....that was easy too.

hey man... you didnt list any mods other than a blower on the T/A.. just going by what i read.

sorry dood, i'll chill out.. its just that you started negating what i said but you were using your mustang with non stock pistons/heads/cam/intake/blower/exhaust while i was comparing stock for stock.

For times... i have only run my V6 to 13.52 with only one single internal engine mod.. 1.7 rr. And that was also on a 3.55 open diff rear. My new motor will probably get me well into the 12's naturally aspirated.

I dont remember bashing your car... and if i read my last post, i dont see where i was bashing either of your cars.

and to be nice, i do have nice rims.. at least i think. The ones in my avatar are not my current wheels. I have a set of American Racing Outlaw II's and a set of 1992-1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 wheels.

let me get this straight you had 9lbs of boost on a 10.5comp.302 and it loved it?i don't think so.the stock comp.ratio of a ls1 is 10to1 about 6lbs is max.enough to make 470 hp.w/a vortech on a stock engine.ls1/6lbs:470,cobra/8lbs:420.money issues aside the ls1 can be turned into a stronger engine.and earlier when i was talkin' about the differences between the z28 an transam to the SS's an ram-airs i was referring to the lt1's.i know its not really a difference in the ls1's.in short a good runnin'6spd ls1 can run about a 13.1-2 a good runnin' 03-4 can run a 12.8-9,not really a huge difference.

well theres alot of talk going on here, all I have to say is, I wouldn't mind racing a few cobras, or GT's in the TN area.

But to tell you the truth it'll have to be a 1.4 mile, cause anything over that my truck will start wiggle wobbling cause of the lift to fit everything under the hood.

but anyways, my truck has been gutted, and completely rebuilt from scratch, with a 426 High Output HEMI, pushing around 600+ horses. So if any GT boys feel like racing we'll line it up, but if I win, you buy me a new set of tires, cause i'll be burning them for about 5 minutes giving you a good head start before i decide to pass you :)

my truck run high 11's and sometimes low 12's, but I mostly reserve it at 13's cause of the sway factor that kinda freaks me out :(
