Message: I asked the same questions before I did the HO cams in mine... I have heard that the KRC cams are good but not testimonials.
If you look on there site they compare them directly to the HO cam and say that they are quite a bit better.
I was able to get the HO's for $120 for the pair.
It was a no brainer.
I am happy that I did the job and if you plan to yourself there are great instructions available.
just take your time and start with a cold engine block.

Message: KRC uses a computer program to design different cam profiles. The KRC206 which I have is a HO cam that is shipped to Crane cams and reground to KRC's specifications. It has to be a HO to start with because the duration on a stock one is not close enough to be reground. Because the regrind is going to be smaller than the original cam lobs lash caps are used so the lift is more than the stock HO cam. There is no comparison between the HO and KRC206.

Message: Curtis, you're right in that we don't physically grind the cams in our shop. The vast majority of engine builders don't. We have Comp Cams and Crane do the actual process. However, our cam grinds are our own designs. The HO cams are a nice upgrade. The 206 cams, etc. are more of the same.
