The built bottom end and built heads may explain some of the story. I was also ready to throw up the B.S. flag myself. Still skeptical ob it being low 12's all motor but who knows.
About 8 years ago or so my dad blew up his 318 in his 1986 1/2 ton RAM so he gave it to me. He had it a short time and for your info the 318 threw a rod because the PREVIOUS owner before my dad may not have ever changed his oil. When I removed the valve covers alone it had solid blocks of charcol packed around the rocker arms! No wonder the beast blew up. Well, now that that is cleared up because we all know 318's don't blow up for no reason, I was starting to pull the 318 out to rebuild it when I met some guy with a 360 laying in the back of his garage. It was slightly used and came from some guy that built it for his so called Muscle car but then the guy wrecked it. They said it was supposed to be a good runner but I shrugged it off as B.S. and figured it to be stock. When I went to re ring it, (even tho the engine was recently rebuilt I didn't trust it and the fact it had been stored on the floor for over a year or so uncovered), I couldn't get the rings to gap correctly. I scratched off the little bit of carbon that the pistons had and low and behold they were .030 over pistons. SO obvuously the engine had been cleaned up if it was bored over. So anyway I just cleaned it up and put it back together with new gaskets, etc used a aluminum intake, carberated, etc. I was going to use the truck for work and didn't aim to make into a hot rod like I usually do.
But anyway, just for some info the bottom end was bored .030 over, looked like stock flat top pistons, I threw on a pair of 318 heads because I had them, and the cam that came with the engine had a slight lope but not much. I didn't get any info on it's specs so figured it was a mild street cam or big RV style cam.
With that set up and stock exhaust, sh*ty a$$ 2.73 : 1 gears (yes 2.73's!), a 904 tranny (they suck), and at 5500 ft altitude the truck would just spin the rear tires silly no problem and rap to a full 6k RPM's easy unlike the newer 360's do. With the 2.73 gears the truck would do 60 in 1st, bury the speedo in 2nd, and 3rd was like our OD in our new trucks. I was surprised and I know if I had some headers, plus more like 3.73 : 1 gears and a 727 to hold up and less weight it could have been fairly bad ass for a near stock all motor 360. The truck was pretty fast. It killed the 904 tranny a few times too. Someone talked me out of it before I fixed it up. I'm probably rambling on but I'm saying you can make some power all motor. Mine was a basket case with stock heads. If he has some after market pistons and nice heads, cam, etc (more than we realize) it could be making the power. My friend has a 360 he had professionally built for his Duster and I hope he some day installs the bad boy. It cost him several grand in machining and balancing alone. It is rated at 425 HP all motor, but built for a few hundred add HP via N02 or a Blower. Supposed to be capable of 800 HP and 8000 RPM's. Of course it;s got all aftermarket internals.

short block, THEN you installed new pistons
(along with 904 heads).
Now it goes 121 mph in the quarter, (with little
wheel spin on street radials)
I'm sorry, there's no way in hell. Maybe 121
mph in the MILE (if you're lucky).

Just want to make a point to a few of the guys who think a Dak needs 500hp to smoke a Cobra, not quite. Last dyno I was pushing 386/392 at the wheels, that was before the B&G flash. Prolly over 400 at the wheels now. I run 12.1's at 114/115, plenty fast enough to smoke stock '03's and even some mild bolton ones :)
I'm doing it with a Paxton Novi-2000 and boltons, stock heads/cam/bottom end, pushing 10-11psi.

01redR/T is full of it, he started two threads at the same time saying how fast his truck was with a couple of bolt-ons on one, and on the other it was how fast he was with pistons and heads. These were started within 10 minutes of each other.
After the BS flags started poping up everywhere, he has to come back with another BS story.
Give him another day or two and he will research someone else's truck and come back with more crap.

It was just that you said 904 heads (which I don't know anything about those) and I had mentioned a 360 build and using a 904 auto tranny LOL!
904 tranny's are weak, I'll tell you that. Don't know about them 904 heads.

Hey BAD360R/T could i talk to you about that paxton supercharger my friend has a kenne bell supercharger and he is having to run race has a 9lbs to keep it from knocking and he has a built up blower engine. how does that paxton work? does it knock at all?

So you strap on $5000 worth of aftermarket parts and then want to brag because your franken-dodge can go faster than some other stock vehicles? Isn't that like throwing a stick of dynamite into the lake and then puffing your chest out because you out-fished everyone using a pole? Maybe you should take it to a track and race an equally aftermarket-ed vehicle, where it's more about actual ability. Then if you win there'll be something to brag about.
