 Subject: Brake upgrade question

Hi All and Happy New Year,
I wanted ask about front disc brake upgrades. I was looking into SP slotted rotors and hawk hps pads for about $245. How do these compare with SSBC short stop upgrade for $220? I couldn't tell what the high performance pads from SSBC are. I figured the Power Slot slotted rotors are alittle more expensive than SP slotted. Thanks in advance for all your opinions.
