Got back from a great night at the track last night with my lil 4.7L CC auto. Best time of 14.075 @ 95.58mph. A 14.22 and 14.15 to back it up.
The automatics live!

360airintakez.com intake
HO intake manifold
KRC 206 cams
KRC PCM flash
3" single exhaust with cutout for the track
26x10.5 ET Streets
No belt fan, and shortbelt (bypass power steering, probly not worth much)

Message: So how does the H.O. Manifold work with the 206's? I was thinking of swapping out my H.O. cams and going with a set of ported H.O. heads and adding the 206 cams at the same time.

Message: Islander, I'm still on the stock 65mm throttle body. Duner's starting to convince me to go with an F&B, so we'll see in January when I head back to the track.
Also got some other home made and low budget things that, all in all, I think will gain me a tenth or so in themselves.
All I ask for is one more night in January like friday night's weather, and I might can bang out a 13.8 or so. Let's hope. A 13.99 is all I ask :P
Andrew,
Really man, I didn't have the HO cams before this. I went from stock cams and stock manifold to 206 cams, then a week later bolted on the HO manifold. So obviously I can't compare it to your setup. Maybe the guy to ask that one to is .alex. because he went from HO cams and HO intake to 212 cams and HO intake. He at least has something to compare to with HO cams.

Message: Andrew, go with the ported heads and 206 cams. You wont be sorry. And be sure to run true duals all the way back. 2.5" right off the factory manifolds or headers. That alone was worth .25 in the 1/4 mile dept.
Way to go Waltherone!

Message: i'm pretty sure it's recommended to run single exhaust on daks. dual exhaust kinda hurts us. i had turn downs and went back to a single pipe and tip and it picked it up some.

Message: Numbers don't lie Sniper, and all of us with them can testify.
I picked up 26 RWHP with a forced induction setup... I previously had a Flowmaster cat-back.
Alex picked up 2.5 tenths from a single 3" with a high-flow cat. (Naturally Aspirated)
Lynn picked up 3 tenths (Naturally Aspirated)
and the list goes on.
If the duals aren't over-sized, the balance and flow will free up the hidden ponies. Proven Point.

Message: Sniper, the difference is having the larger throttlebody, the larger cams, and the better intake manifold. I would not run true duals on a stock Dakota. But once you have a lot of air going in, the true duals really help out. I'd say that I have picked up at least 20 rear wheel horsepower over my 3" single exhaust set-up that I had previously.

Message: True dual 2.5" is slighter more area than a single 3.5". I'll be, finally, going to true dual and JBA headers later this month. I love road trips to Spokane :)
I found my ASP pulley the other day, I completely forgot I had it. So that's going in this week.
Got an HO intake manifold ordered (who knows how it'll work, but they went down in price, like $90 now!).
And I'm looking at 218 cams (I run 4.56s) and will run some sort of power adder later.
I really need my PCM done, but I have an 02.. *shrug*
SRP will be a little bit better next Sping.

Message: I'm currently running a Fastman 68mm and a 4" Z-tube. Should I upgrade to a 72mm before switching to true duals? Currently I just have a single 2.5" Carsound Cat and a single 2.5" in/out Magnaflow. No precats on my '00 4.7L.
I'm still holding out on the cams. I'd like to get some that aren't the HO's and aren't regrinds.
xplikt: Where did you find the HO manifold for $90? Might as well get it at that price.

If it was up to me, I'd at least upgrade to the 70mm F&B, if not the 72mm. Until you get the cams, though, I'd prolly stick with the 70mm.

Message: I'll probably just go with the 72mm for sh!ts and giggles. The other parts will come eventually.
It's not that I don't think regrinds are worth their weight I'd just rather have solid cams rather than cams with lash caps. Something about the lash caps throw me off. Problem is i'll probably be waiting a really long time before crane or compcams comes up with some cams.

My local dealer is too dumb, so I gotta pay shipping after the ~90, but your local dealer might be good.
