I came across a website recently that makes some kind of super ignition system that emits a spark of 5,000,000 watts of power in each spark. I wonder if this is way overboard and not necessary. I totally agree with the science of burning all the fuel in each cylinder for increasing performance, reducing emissions, etc. But, 5 million??? That sounds like a lot. I thought the aftermarket ignitions we have today are sufficient.

Ryan , just looked at that site. I don't know , seems like it may work , but they don't go beyond 1999 modle years. Kinda makes me wonder...They clamed it would work on any ignition system , so why stop at 1999? I'm sure someone here can answer that. I don't think it would work on the 4.7 , but I may be wrong. I e-mailed them , so I'll let you know what they said.

Way overboard. You will see no performance increase beyond what current CD ignitions will deliver.

Too much can be hazardous to your engine. Blowing holes in pistons, melting plug electrodes, etc.

There's no need for that much on our engines.
