Message: Hey guys, how come my wifes Grand Cherokee
seems to run so much better than my dak?
Both 2001's 3:92 gears, 4.7's autos,
Jeep has 73k and the Dak 65k.
I know that on both trucks top end shuts down at
117mph, but the Jeep is a hoss at the red lights.

Message: The Grand Cherokee is about 1,200 pounds lighter than the Dakota! Thus the difference in performance.

Message: What? The Jeep had the advantage of HO cams until this year, but the weight (3790 vs 3650) is so close as to not matter, but in the DAKOTA's favor (unless you let the dealer saddle you with one of those 4dr monstrosities they tried to push at me when I said V8).

Message: 5000lbs? Wow. You've got a heavy Dak. I think mine only weighs 4000lbs.
