Message: Borla has a Japanese division called "Banzai Sports" that markets to Japanese import sports cars. Both Banzai and Borla are made by Cone Engineering.
Anyways, my brother used to be a dealer for Banzai. So, using him as a cost effective connection, I installed a straight through, stainless steel muffler that is actually intended to be installed in high performance Nissan 300ZX cars! Holy Hell! That sounds way cool on my V6 4x4 Dakota! People tell me I have a cool sound. Its different and isnt an ugly deep sound or a lame high sound, either. Million mile warranty, too.

Message: Craig, I don't know if you can see my email on this but I have a wav. file of my truck..5.9 QC 4x4 with the Gibson split rear catback. Recorded it off my laptop both sitting on the tailgate and about 6 feet behind, with an idle and a couple of revs. Not the best quality but you will get the idea. I think from reading posts for over a year on all brands of mufflers is that the borla can be a little loud but more race car like. the gibson still sounds good but much more mellow in the truck. If you want I can email you the sound of my truck and then go to the borla page. you have to hear the Range Rover!!!!

Message: i just installed the borla cat back on my 2000 ec 4x4. getting the old unit off was a little rough (due to a compression ring left by the old clamp just before the cc). once it was off the new one bolted up in about fifteen minutes without a hitch. sound? mellow, throaty at idle, and really nice as you accelerate, but the best part is that the in cab difference is minimal. very cool!!!
