Has anyone swapped out an Automatic tranny and put in a manual on a 1st or 2nd Gen Dakota?

Never done it on a Dakota but I have done it to my 77 Chevy 4x4....Major pain in the butt. But worth it. Lots of parts swaping, welding ETC. 1 word HEADACHE
