Message: OK, here ya go, depending on year of your truck.
Disable torque management signal from TCM to PCM.
Go to any other Dodge forum and search under "Torque Management Request" and you'll find volumes of info.
Haven't tried it yet. Probably this weekend. I'm sold on it, though.

Message: i have done this mod! so far no codes... this mod works quite well i might add. it will definately hit second hard and will leave a nice chirp. it definately turns heads!!!! only prob is when you have overdrive enabled under WOT it will shift into 4th at 75(well at least for me cause i have 4.10 rear) but if i disable it it will hold it out to 95 then i hit it and it goes into 4th. ok one tank of gas gone with tmr mod. result: geez 220 miles on a 22 gallon tank!!! normally i can go 330 on a tank or get roughly 18 to 20 mpg back and forth to work. with the mod im gettin i think like 10 to 13mpg!!! i will definately have to put it on a switch!!! ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT IT FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME OR ASK!!!

Message: midnightmagic.....The TMR mod should not
affect your mileage. Maybe your driving habits
are changing. I also have 4.10 gears, the mod
does not change anything until the
transmission sensors see a out of syn.
condition. So normal driving won't be affected.
In other words, put it in OD and take your foot
out of it.

Message: midnightmagic............Yes I did, mine whines a
bit, but no vibration. I've got a KB Optimizer II,
so my shifts are firm, but this really firms them
up.

Message: tom, you should look at the recalls category. i'm pretty sure 2000 and 2001 dakotas had a recall for bad shifting.

Message: TMR-Torque Management Request is a yellow wire with green stripe on pin 10 of the TCM-Transmission Control Module. I haven't done the mod yet but, plan on doing it this week. Just at soon as I get a switch I like and figure out a good place to mount it. Here's the thread on it: https://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/v8/4969-2.html
