Subject: MSD 6a help needed

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but I don't know a whole lot about wiring or much anything electrical in a truck. I have the msd install harness, and I know where the coil is and where to hook that end up, but I can't figure out where the other end goes. If someone could give me some dumb dumb directions, I mean really break it down barney style with locations and what not, then it would be really appreciated. My truck is a 97 318.

its pretty easy..


there are two wires that plug into the bottom of the coil via a harness. Cut those two wires... i believe one is green/orange and the other is black/gray. When you cut the wires you then have four wires in total... The small red wire from the msd goes to the green/orange on going to the computer... the small white wire goes to the black/gray going to the computer. The orange wire goes to the green/orange handing off of your coil. The small black wire goes to your black/gray hanging off of your coil.

The big red goes to battery positive and the big black wire goes to the battery negative

no problem... i did the same thing. Called up MSD techline and asked them, "where are these other two wires?" ... "fromt the two you cut, sir"


DUH!!!

... i felt kinda stupid after that.
