Subject: 1.7rr Magnum install. IP: Logged
Message: This weekend I'm wanting to install my Mopar 1.7rr's in my 5.2 Dak.
First off, I'm assuming that the rounded off side (pivot) goes toward the head, and the flat side is for the stud bolt (being on top). I know how the rocker itself sits, I'm talking about the internal part that the stud goes through. Also, I know which way the studs go into the head, with the bolt on top and the allen screw in the very top of that.
Second, the kit came with guide plates and a few other items. One piece looks like it would have 2 pushrods going thourgh it, but doesn't have any way of being secured.
Third, the other 2 parts that are in question is an alumn. piece that has a slot cut in it for the bottom of the stud, and a 'u' shape at the other end for the push rod, How does this fit together with the final peice. The final piece is plastic and looks as if it fits onto the 'u' side of the alumn. piece.
From top to bottom I have figured this much out.
-allen screw
-stud bolt
-stud
(obviously the RR in there as well)
In question are
-alumn. piece?
-plastic piece?
-other metal piece?
Am I not seeing the forrest for the trees?
Normally I can figure this crap out even w/o a picture, and I feel brain dead right now not bieng able to get it.
I have no directions/install guide with this kit.
Any help will be very appreciated.
