Message: Go to the Jegs site, and look up either part number 389-942543 or 389-942542. The first is a 2.5 in\out with an offset in and out, and the other is a 2.5in\out with an offset in\ center out. Any more questions, drop me an email. Hope this helps!

Message: If you're just replacing your stock muffler, you don't need any special bent pipes. It fits in-line. That's where the offset inlet/outlet stuff comes into play. Don't let 'em rip you off. Make them show you what they're talking about. They won't be able to, or they'll say they were thinking of something else if they think you're on-the-ball.

Message: Hey Ash,
If you wanna save some money and play them back at their game. tell them to scrap the rest of your tailpipe and put a turn down on the muffler itself. It will sound better and be cheaper anyway.

Message: first off go with a magnaflow, it will sound better than the flowmaster. it wont make the V6 sound crappy like a rice burner when you get in the rpm's. and there should be no special way of them puttin it on, its a basic muffler replacement. if they insist tell them youll go somewhere else, it should cost NO MORE THAN $125
You gatta ask yourself one question...That Thing Got A HEMI???

Message: even if you have to get bent pipe the muffler shop should be able to bend it for you. my personal opinion flowmaster only sounds good on v8's

Message: Best fit and performance would be:
40-Series Delta Flow
#942452 - Aluminized
#842542 - Stainless Steel
These mufflers are a few inches shorter than the OEM, so yes they do to attach the one end of the muffler to the existing tailpipe, then add a few inches of pipe to the inlet of the muffler. Nothing to it, took my local shop 15mins and cost me $35 for the install.
I went with Stainless because I wanted it to last as long as possible and it was only $12 more than the aluminized one. Go to www.summitracing.com they have good prices.
I have the 4.7 V8, but look up a guy on here who uses the name....FOREXFOUR his web site is http://www.claycdbj.com/page2.html
He has a 40-series on a V6 and you can hear it in his videos.

Message: Ashley, I have a 97 clubcab sport, 4x2 with auto and 3.9. I recently put a 70 series flowmaster on my truck. I had to go with the 2.5 in and out on the flow master I was able to reuse the existing tail pipe. I hope this is helpful.
