 Subject: M1 intakes

If I replace my intake manifold with the M1 without replacing the throttle body what can I expect with performance. So far I have a chip, cold air (K&N) and 3 inch cat back on my 2000 CC RT. Ran a 14.7 with these mods. Will it screw around with the performance of my truck or will it enhance it.

The M1 breathes much better than the beer keg intake, so your mid and upper rpm power will improve. Off idle grunt will diminish a little, but will build rapidly as rpm increases and more than make up for it. TB mods will make it that much better.

The M1 will definitaly improve performance. You will loose alittle bottom end. I would get a throttle body before the M1. For the money, the Fastman TB are worth it.
Where do you plan on getting your M1 from? KRC has them on sale for the month of Nov. for $425. Also Summit has the for $260, but that is for a 4 barrel.
Does anyone know if the 4 barrel is design for someone who is producing alot of HP or can you get a plate to block off 2 of the barrels?

Haven't seen a block-off plate. Mancini racing has 2v model for $339. Install kit is $60.

There is no block-off plate, but there is an adapter to use the two barrel throttle body. The four barrel manifold is made for a more serious setup and there would be some lost performance vs. the two barrel.

FYI-- www.socaldakota.com sells the M1 2bbl, non-egr w/install kit, gaskets/bolts, + bypass hose and t-stat gasket for $420 shipped.

The 4 barrel will have more equal length runners
than the 2 barrel and allows the high flow 4
barrel TB option for future mods.
