I've heard some good things about Gibson cat back system. Without intake mods I would be concerned about the system's use of a 3" tail pipe on the 4.7.
You might try a search hear under "Gibson cat back" to see what others have said about the system.
One guy on here - Dan Gruber - has the system and swears by it. Dan is a straight shooter - if it didn't work well he would say so.

Matt, Had mine on a week. Didn't care for it. pulled it off. Thought I lost too much back pressure. Sounded good though! What part of the country you live in. I'll sell to you 1/2 price!

I've owned 2 dakotas so far, and this is the second time ive bought a gibson. I went with the split rear this time and I absolutely love it. I get nothing but compliments on the sound, and I would never recommend anything else. I've had flowmaster and borla and I don't care for either of them.

Anyone know of a performance web site not too far from NY selling the Gibson dual rear exit cat-back (#6505) at a good price? I've had mine since the fall of '97 but the muffler and exhaust pipe is starting to rust out in a couple spots. The price for one in Ontario, Canada is just outrageous ! Thanks.

The best price on Exhaust can be found in only two places. Summit Racing usually has the competition beat by no less than 40 bucks in most cases. The other alternative is Performance, the occasionally have a better price than summit but only by about 10-15 bucks. Most of the time they are dead even, but Summit has cheaper shipping.
