Well people there may be light at the end of the tunnel yet for us Dakota & Durnago owners for the junky front ends DaimlerChrysler has been putting in their SUV's & trucks. I ssen on CBS world news tonite that the Federal Government is launching a nationwide investagation into the problem. Here is the link to check it out http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/10/27/eveningnews/main580233.shtm. They said there is a class action law suit against DaimlerChrysler. About time we Dakota owners got some relief to this problem. Cause it sure looks like DaimlerChrysler is or has done nothing to solve the problem. If anyone finds a site for the class action law suite please post it on here.

I really do hope they make DC replace all the ball joints on every dakota / durango out there. DO it right the first time so you dont have to do it again later is what DC needs to learn!

I too just saw that on tv. You can bet I am going to give mine a good going over before I go anywhere with it. I'm sure that now that the press has a hold of the problem we will be getting recalls soon.

Hey, I heard about the CBS news and found the story online. I think I found the site for the class action lawsuit.

Look under pending lawsuits.
It is for Durangos only though. I submitted a compliant for a lawyer to review concerning our Dakota upper and lower control arms, ball joint problems. I have contacted Dodge Corporation and they had no regard for our premature persistent problem with our suspension. If you are interested in pursuing a law suit, I would encourage you to file a complaint for their review. I would also encourage you to call Dodge Recall at 1-800-853-1403 to log a complaint about the ball joints. Best of luck to all of us.

I had mine replaced a year and a half ago with Moogs. That dumb $hit hack busted the grease boots and now I have one squeaking and refused to take grease. I have to rock it to get grease into it. Now they need replacing again. It;s floating all over the road.
