Subject: override my speed limiter IP: Logged
Message: i have a sick 99 dakota rt but i have a huge problem, my engine cuts out at 115 mph! i have heard from many people that dodge doesnt allow the speed limiter to be adjusted but thats not the answer i am looking for. i want the power of the engine straight to the wheels nothing holding it back. if anyone has any suggestions or knows of a company who makes such a thing or if anyone has any sort of method to do this please post some info or mail me at cranson4@earthlink.com. thanks a bunch -b

Message: The new hypertech programer claims to do it, and Ive heard good things about it. The previous models did not, those were PCMs that you actually hooked inline with the trucks computer, I have one. The best thing to do however is to get the Mopar performance computer. It replaces the one you have now and it raises the limit to 130 or 135, pretty much as fast as you would want, I hope. Try v8performance.com, great site.
