Subject: 4.7 true duals IP: Logged
Message: I had the 4.7 dual exhaust from GS Motorsports installed over the weekend. Unfortunately, I don't have any dyno numbers yet, but will try to get some soon. I can say that I do feel an increase in power and improved throttle response throughout the rpm range. It's a major improvement over my previous catback. I would recommend it to anyone with a 4.7. My only complaint about it is that I wish it was quieter. I have to admit, it sounds really mean when you get on it and it is pretty cool. I just prefer a quiet exhaust.

Message: I wonder if you could use magnaflows instead of spintechs. Spintech is a loud muffler. I have a magnaflow right now and its the perfect amount of sound. Just a low V8 rumble. I'm not into loud either.

Message: I had the precats and the main cat. Now I just have two high flow cats (one on each pipe).
I'm not sure if another kind of muffler would work on this setup.

Message: Did you not have an O2 sensor by the main cat? If so, what did you do when you put on the duals / dual cats?

Message: I have 4 02 sensors. One before and after each cat (formerly precats). There were none around the main cat.
Jerry-- Scott was the one who installed my exhaust. I will be back in touch with him because I still have some tuning issues that he's helping me with.

Message: I'm using the .4mm jet. To be honest, I don't remember who I ordered the kit through (it was a long time ago). If you do some searching on the net, you should be able to find a good supplier. The kit came with .5mm, .6mm, and .7mm jet sizes. I thought I was getting too much water through so I found the smaller jet size on ebay and got that. Then I found out the problem with my engine was that it was running lean, so I disconnected the water injection until I get the tuning right.
