Subject: M1 & 52MM Upgrade Problems?? HELP IP: Logged
Message: I just installed a M1 & 52 MM Holley TB On my 99 R/T my current mods are Mopar Cold Air Intake, Mopar Headers, Mopar PCM, Flowers Master Dual Exhaust & Now The M1 & 52MM TB. I definetly notice a power difference in the higher RPM's above 3000 RPM but below that is worse now. My biggest problem is that when I'm on the Highway doing around 80 MPH and punch it the motors bogs down and is absolutly gutless, if I turn the overdrive off and go it seems OK. Also whats funny is that if I ease up to 100 MPH its fine no bogging. I thought maybe had something to do with the transmission kickdown cable but it's pulling it out the same amount as the old throttle body?? Is the 52MM to much air?? Intake Leak Maybye?? But from a dead start the truck runs awesome to 80MPH then starts to die?? I should also mention that I relocated the IAT Sensor to the intake tube 6" from the TB like KRC says to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Message: In all honesty, my first guess is your TB. Return the Holley while you can and get a quality piece like an F&B. I've heard far more complaints about the Holley than I've ever heard about an F&B.

Message: Yea , like he said. Maybe you got a bad TB. Also , the computers gotta take a few miles to learn the new air coming in. Put about 100-150 miles on it with the new parts and see if you still got the problem.
good luck !

Message: Let the pcm get adjusted to the new stuff. this isn't the first post i've seen with the same problems after installing a new TB and m1 intake. give it another 2-3 days and see how she runs. if that fails, try resetting the pcm
