Subject: Funny race with an X-Treme

Today I was on the way home from Northern Arizona when this Chevy X-Treme tried to race me at this stop light. The first red light I didn't know we were racing so off he went. So next thing we stop at the next red light. SO I nudged up a bit waiting for the light to change giving him the hint to try it again.
So the light turns green and we're off. The bad thing is the two lanes change into one lane on the other side, but there's planty of room as I have seen many people drive side by side here before.
Another bad thing was I have beat stock X-Tremes with ease but this sucker was actually starting to pull from me. I did have a family of four in my 4 door 4X4 and a truck bed full of junk so maybe that's part of why I didn't take him.
Anyway he's got maybe one foot on me at like 75 MPH and then we come across this DIP in the road. I slammed on my brakes and he did not. I was surprised because he seemed to know where all the previous dips were.
You should have seen his truck. It flew down into the dip shooting sparks and then launched so far up I thought his rear wheels may have lost contact with the road!
I think he had a heart attack and then what looked like he flipped me off.
I didn't give a crap because we were both in the wrong for drag racing like that and if you play you pay!

I wish I could have video taped that race. It was funny as hell to watch him crash through that monster dip in the road. If things would have not happened that way maybe I could have found out if he had done something to his truck because my friends X-Treme was NEVER that fast.
Usually I could have beaten one quick and then let off before speeding on the city streets like that!

Come on now, racing with the family? God that will be a great news story. Family dies in street racing tragedy. Risking your own life is one thing, but your family too?

Common sense man.

Oh come on, you can't let the kids down. How would your kids feel if you turned down a race from a X-treme

No sh*t!
We drive a lot faster than that on the frigging highway with tons of cars bumper to bumper!

This was a deserted street. There was not a single car near us. And I know how you all here just LOVE them Chevy X-Treme's!

Not too mention my family laughed their asses off at that dumb ass when he flew through the dip in the road. At least I let off.
