Subject: 3.9L AIT Sensor? IP: Logged
Message: I currently own a 1998 3.9L Dakota and have installed an aftermarket/non-homebrew intake system and was wondering if I need to relocate the AIT sensor. I ask this because I don't know where it's located on the 3.9L and if there even is one? I've heard that it helps to properly regulate the fuel flow to the engine and well, the performance of the truck is okay, but it still seems sluggish at times.
Any help?

Message: Great, I'll take a look at that. What does the sensor look like and how long of lead does it have on it? And furthermore, is installing it in the intake the best idea for performance?

Message: yes, moving it to the intake tube will help performance. It just has a normal two-wire plug in the back of it and the rest of it looks like brass.
