I got nothing to do tomorow so if you guys really want them I`l pull out the sensor tomorow and take some pics. My camera is a cheap pos that take pics in pdf? or somthing like that. Message: That only goes into the Bell housing. Enging and tranny are both sealed. I wouldnt worry about getting dirt in there. You probably never will

Message: The bit touched the sensor? It sounds like maybe you tried modifying the wrong section? Unless I'm missing something previously, you modified the wrong section of the sensor. You're supposed to slot the metal bracket, not the black, plastic sensor housing. I just think I'm missing something...
BTW, many of us want to know what the inside looks like. Can you describe it? What are you going to do with it now, assuming you've purchased a new one? I may want the old one :)

Message: I broke the bracket, with the two metal bushings. I guess it was ten years old and brittle.
The sencor itself is fine, however i figure that since it was broken i tried to fasten an aluminum plate to the back of the bracket to make it adjustable, but i had a hard time getting the holes lined up.To do so i had to cut some of the plastic to make it fit, but then i said F. it and just ordered a new one. Don't break yours guys, it cost $136 Canadian, and thats at trade price
motrsprt, it's all yours tell me where to ship

Message: Janesy,
Email me offline and I'll email you my shipping address.
Email: motrsprt@cableone.net
This will allow me to fabricate a nice teflon or pvdf bracket for it.
Thanks,
Kris

Engine seems to run smoother but thats about it.
little tip. If you have an older dak and your sencor has a plastic bracet, this mod is not worth the $150(canadian) it cost me to replace the proken piece

Message: i don't care much about fuel milage, my Dak is only a toy. When it's empty i fill it.
But i was thinking, If you have to reset your computer, you would have to start the computer again(reattach the terminal) with the sencor in the old location. If you reset the comp. with the sencor advanced it would recognize it as the normal setting, then it could not be advanced only retarded...something to remmember

Message: I see what you're saying janesy, but when you reset the computer you're not exactly reflashing or reprogramming the computer chip. As with many mod's, one needs to reset the computer so that it can remap for the changes. It's the same for all fuel injected engines these days. I'm not exactly an experienced Dak owner telling you that this made a change, because in all honesty I didn't reset my computer. I completely forgot all about it! So, after reading this post I will go out and reset to see if it makes a difference with my truck...Sheesh!

Message: you don't need to reset it it will change the settings on it's own, i was just thinking in the future if the terminal was disconnected. Just curious as to what would happen, i mean 3/16"s or 5/16"(or whatever the move may have been), is not that much and probably easily corrected by the computer. Like with a Daks distributer can be move likely that much in each direction if not more, and the computer will compensate for the move, and not allow for you timing to be adjusted. so why wouldn't it be able to compensate for the movement of the sencor, if the spark curve was being relearned, IE: after a loss of memory backup, if the battery was disconnected.(i'm not sure how long it takes to loose the memory backup, but it will show the code when it does.).
Sorry for the long post, i wasn't planning on thinking about it this much.

Message: Actually that's because moving the distributor on these newer motors doesn't affect the base timing like you'd expect but has more to do with the fuel injector timing.
