Subject: 4900RPM Flatline, WTF???
IP: Logged

Message:
Hey folks,
Just curious, I’m waiting on a PowerDyne supercharger and had my PCM flashed by Leach for the SC. Well, now at WOT I flat line at 4900RPM, no stutter, not like the engine is dying, almost like a governor plate on it. It stays PEGGED on 4900RPM’s until I let off, what gives, WTF? When I back off the throttle it will shift and then flat line at 4900 again. I’m wondering whether I’m just out of air and dumping fuel that can’t burn or if Leach set my RPM limiter WAY too low and messed the shift points up. Below are my current mods, then the rest of them I’m waiting on. I could really use some input on this one as it’s REALLY annoyingJ.

Thanks,

Shawn

Shawn,

If you're running the PCM without the blower...there's your problem. The custom flash is designed for a supercharged engine...not normially aspirated (timing retarded and fuel enrichment).

Cool, just making sure, it's pretty freaky not to be able to floor it.

Thanks for the FYI,
Shawn
