Subject: First-Timer Question IP: Logged
Message: I've had my dakota for about 2 1/2 years now, been making it look pretty, now im ready to make it hurt some feelings. only engine/exhaust mods i have so far are superchips programmer, stock 318 TB, k&n air filter (still in stock air box), flowmaster 50 series cat back. looking to upgrade for more performance but dont wanna use apiration or internal work (mainly looking for "bolt-on" things). i've noticed alot of people talking here, dodgetalk.com and on speedtweaks about autolite 3923's and 180 t-stats. the autolites i can get, but need a part number on the t-stat. any other suggestions are welcome. thanks

Message: 1. Autolite 3923s don't add HP, makes no difference
2. 180 t-stat, see above
3. get a new air intake (K&N FIPK, etc), new TB (F&B), new headers (JBA)
4. no one is talking on speedtweaks, its long gone
5. don't be a prick, its saturday, people are out doing things

Message: Heres stuff that I put on that made a difference I could feel:
Mopar K&N w/ heat shield
headers
M1 2brl
52 mm TB
Stuff that didnt do much:
3923 plugs
180 stat
MSD
MP PCM
Gibson 3" cat back
cap n rotor
plug wires
The combo that seems to work well for alot of peeps:
K&N intake
50 or 52 mm TB
1.7 rockers
M1 2brl
headers
You gonna have to spend some $$$ if ya wanna go fast. The mods that take all day and require you to get yer hands dirty to put on are the ones that work.
hope this helps

Message: The TBs most people are using are F&B or Fastman. I suppose there are other brands too.
F&B cost more , but you keep your stock TB and its all billet aluminum.
Fastman has the best price , you trade in your stock TB and the quality is great.
