Message: I would assume the gains would be similar plus the Harlandsharp web page says you can use the stock covers, so I guess you don't have to mess with the baffles. This seems to be a no brainer as to which rockers to get! Thank you help!

Message: Yes you have to adjust Crowers and that's a good thing. No two motors are exactly alike. If your motor isn't spot on, you won't be able to do anything with the Harland Sharps to adjust your valves. If you ever make a cam change, you won't be able to use the Harland Sharps.

Message: I installed crowers on my 99 four years and forty thousand miles ago and have never "adjusted" since. I do not recall anything in the instalation instructions about having to adjust every 10k, I will look up the install sheet to be sure. There should be no reason to have to adjust, it is not like solid lifters that need regular adjustments. As for the valve covers you have to remove the baffles (mine then leaked), so I installed the Mopar alum covers.

Message: Hey help-- if yours started getting a little noisy at 10k-- a couple things may have occurred:
1) You didn't get the surelocks tight enough, and a rocker backed out (rare).
2) You didn't clean out the stud holes in the head enough-- didn't use locktite, or didn't torque to proper specs, and a stud loosened (rare).
3) Or your stock lifters are weak/crap, and started to bleed down (happens with even new trucks--) If you didn't have adjustable rockers, you'd wouldn't be able to put to correct preload to help offset that (your only choice would be to replace your lifters).
I've sold a ton of Crower rockers-- I use them myself (over 75k on my truck now). I have to say they are the strongest in the business guys. Also are smog excempt 50 state as well (if that means anything to you.)
