Subject: Wiring an electric fan IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a Black Magic 150 fan but I'm a little unclear about the directions. It says to connect the (+) terminal of the control box to a 12v power source (i.e. fuse box). How EXACTILY do I do that?? Which cicuit should I wire it into and will I have to change the fuses amp rating to make up for the exta load? I'd appreciate any help! You can email me at AF_Tiger80@yahoo.com. Thanks.

Message: if you want to wire it to only be on with the ignition is on, there should be a couple extra auxiliary post in your fuse box, youll have to put a connector on your wire to secure it,and you can ground to pretty much anything bare metal. use a test lite and make sure it only comes on when the key is on.or you can hook it to a toggle if you just want it to run when you want it to. you can hook a toggle to pretty much any power source.just make sure you dont overload the curcuit.I dont know however, how you would hook it up to come on as far as temp.,unless the vehicle had one in it previously.hope this helps.
