So NO ONE will install my cat. Im pissed. They say its not leagal in this damn state (Maine). I paid $90.00 for this thing....and I can't get it installed..WTF.

Ask them if they will if your cat is damaged. Many times having a working cat is more important.

Have you tried asking a welding shop to do it instead of a muffler shop ? Or a small independent garage ? You might find them more cooperative.
