I have to say as an EX-Chrysler machining supervisor. The 4.7-lt crankshafts were my babies. I love the motor. I machined the parts. I was the crank department supervisor at Mack avenue engine plant for 2 years. I now work for FORD, which is a much better company! Take it from me, the JET stage 1 chip was tested on the test stands in MACK AVE ENGINE PLANT in Detroit MI and It works! I have one on my DODGE DAKOTA. It has a 3.92 rear ratio, anti-slip dif, 4X4, K&N air filter. This is one bad truck.
It has increased my fuel economy up to 25 MPG on highway and 18 in the city. The worst gas mileage I have gotten was 15.4 MPG. That is a no holds barred, tired spinning, pedal to the metal, week of 4.7-Lt fun! Love the motor - HATE THE COMPANY! Enjoy your new chip all.

So does anyone who thinks the Jet stage 2 is worthless want to sell one dirt cheap?
I've been hearing this for years now and would like to see for myself. Problem is, I don't want to spend $200 to find out they're no good.
By the way, I've got a 4.7

If the jet 1 works on the 4.7,
what will it do for a 5spd?
How come noone seems to have a dyno to prove it?
Just curious, I'd like to know what it could do for me and my lightly modded, 2001, 4.7, 5spd?

I had a JET chip Stage 2 and it didnt do sh*t for my 97 Dakota either. Better to go with mopar sbec. By the way, anyone tried the new programmers available for dakotas from HYPERTECH?

I've got one for my '00 QuadCab 5.9 and it seems to be worth the money. I got it primarily for towing torque, but re-programmed today for 'performance', and there seems to be better stop-light-grand-prix performance. I will get it dyno-ed someday to see the difference between the 3 performance programs. (See my response in 'V-8 engines' to Matt for towing data).

All ford does is copy Dodge, yea they are a much better company, Thats why My Brother Just started working at a Ford dealer (Service) Now he makes over DOUBLE what he did working for Chrysler service. He says the fords are such sh*t boxes they drive them off then lot then need attention 10 minutes later they PULL BACK IN..LMAO.... and by you saying the Jet Chips are good proved you have absolutely NO CREDIBILITY AT ALL.. They are trash. The only Good Chips are Mopar and KRC, www.krcperformance.com Ford is theee worst American Car company ever, All they build is TRASH, nothing they make works right at all. And their only ability to compete is copy others.

It's pretty obvious there isn't one, WipLash. He'd have posted results by now.
My brother shared a shop with a dyno operator last couple of years. Time after time those chips made LESS HP and trq. The owners couldn't belive the results 'cause they all said it 'felt' stronger on the road. (likely due to higher shift points)
Save your money, folks, buy some good exhaust and intake stuff instead.

I wasted my money on a Jet Stage 2. By stopwatch she was the same or slower.
I think the telling bit of info is that the Jet part# for the 4.7 is the same as for the 5.2/5.9 so this shows that Jet did not even develop a new product for the 4.7. Problem is that the 4.7 uses a different crank signal than the 5.9/5.2 uses so Jet certainly can't be advancing the timing for the 4.7.

I dynoed my truck with a stage II chip and an air intake.2000 4.7 auto quad cab, I made 196 hrs and 263 lbs/ft. I never dynoed it before i put those things on though. I jst wanted a baseline to see what my kenne bell was going to do. Any one got stock numbers on a 4.7 auto??

To Everyone,
Anyone who has purchased a Jet chip since belonging to this forum is an idiot and deserves to get ripped off. I've covered this over and over and people still continue to buy them. Are they st-st-stupid? Even if your's does all these things which I know they don't, you still should not have purchased one after everything that's been written about them. Not including myself, clearly 99% who have had them say they don't do anything. With all these negative things all over this website about them, which are all true by the way, I can't believe morons are still asking about them and then buying them after everyone tells them they don't work. There is another one for sale on this site again and some dumbass is going to buy it.
