What's our transmission shifing mph from 2nd to drive??? I'm trying to find out if there is something wrong with my tranny shifting points.

If I'm doing 55 mph and floor it, it downshifts to 2nd gear and goes right to DRIVE at 60mph. That seems way too early to be shifting. I've driven cars before that allow you to go to 65mph or possibly 70 before it hits Drive under full
throttle passes.

If I'm doing 65mph it doesn't downshift, it just slowly accelerates.......Is this normal?? Whats the majority of the R/T er's w/5.9 AT passing gear mph beginning and ending. Email me at Spali32@yahoo.com and give me some insight. Does anyone know exactly where to find or some table I can show the dealers that my tranny might have some issues by shifting too soon???

my 99 r/t does the same thing. if i floor it any later than 55-56 mph it will hit 3rd instead of passing gear. can't remember for sure when it shifts out of passing gear though. i'm thinking about 65.
