Message: Why would anyone want to change their nice 4X4 into a 4X2? I'd say trade it in for a 4X2 and let someone else enjoy the 4X4 LOL!!!
BTW, I have a 03 QC 4X4 4.7 3.55, etc. Only mods are a flowmaster 40 series and a nice home brewed (behind the foglight) cold air intake.
The other night I was pulling out of a gas station and at the light I got next to these two newer Honda Civics. The light turned green so they raced each other. I've never raced a Civic until then so I thought I'd floor the pig and see how I could hang my 4X4 with these "Ricers". Well, I surprisingly passed those spam cans and beat them up to 60 MPH before I let off. Then I hit it again when they did and started to have trouble after that point, must have been the aero dynamics taking over at that point but who knows how fast we could have gone before they caught up if I wouldn't have let off.
These were the typical V-Tec not Si's I'm sure but the look on their faces when I passed them was priceless and I enjoyed it very much!
The cool thing was I was in the left most lane out of 3 lanes. One of them had the typical fart can, the other had a stock muffler still. As I passed them we all had our windows down so they really got to hear what real muscle sounds like from my flowmaster compared to the "Ricey" fart can the one guy had.
You simply can't get this kind of V8 sound out of a 4 banger.
