The AirAid, as with any other less restrictive air intake system is most beneficial as a system component more than a device by itself. If you've already helped with the exhaust, the next logical step is reduce restriction with the air going in. That is the job for an AirAid (K&N, or whomsoever's stuff you like) and a cleaned-up throttle body (I've got one reworked by Fastman I like a lot).
Do your research-check threads, manufacturer's information &tc. Stay away, though, from throttle body spacers and those kinds of "aids". They're ineffective with the beerkeg intake manifold and, while they look kind of cool, they do nothing to help. In some cases, they might add restriction to the incomming air charge.
