Message: the dynomax's are very deep in sound. the flowmasters as you know hae a higher pitch than most mufflers. also, the dynomax mufflers have a fiberglass packing inside of them and the flowmasters are a fully welded design. on decelleration, the dynomax's pop and sound like "POO" as i said earlier. this is on my truck, i dont know if they will pop back on anyone elses 4.7. im stickin with tha flowmasters due to the sound and its 2 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile.

Message: flowmaster are the ones that pop big time when you let off the gas or shift if its a 5speed . hated that sound. dynomax no pop at all. but they are alot quieter. dynomax will get louder as they get older.

Message: If you run a crossover(H-pipe), you get rid of that popping noise coming out of the exhaust pipes and the Dynomaxs(SuperTurbos) will have a rumbling note to them just like glasspacks. That is if you have 2 1/4 inch exhaust the whole way.
Better yet, have the exhaust shop put in a x-pipe. It will help you pick up some torque throughout the rpm range especially noticeable in the lower rpms.
For the most power run Dynomax Race Magnums or Bullet mufflers. The Bullets are not that loud with the addition of a x-pipe. At least not any louder than a 2 chamber Flowmaster and flow way more cfm's than any Flowmaster.
