Message: I plan on getting 1.7 crower rr's, what's the best cam with these rockers on a 99' 318?

Message: Get 1.6's if your doing a cam too. That would be too much lift. Piston and valve may get to know each other too well. Good luck.

Message: Yup, flowmaster 40 series, single in, dual out back, 6" past the rollpan. 2.5 pipes w/9" long X 3" wide tips.

Message: The stock roller rockers are 1.6 ratio, so you don't need to change them. As far as camshafts, higher lift gives you more horsepower, but less torque, whereas camshafts with longer duration give more torque and less horsepower (or so I've been told).
I would say to keep the brands the same, as companies usually engineer their parts to work best with each other.

Message: That's what I heard. Putting 1.7 rrs with the stock cam is supposed to add about 10-15 hp and 20-25 lb. ft. of torque. However, "I can neither confirm or deny that statement."
