Subject: A few questions??? IP: Logged
Message: OK I have a few of questions for everyone.
1. I have figured out that I will not be able to find a Robert Shaw Thermostat so I am going to try and find another brand. With that said I have been calling around and the guy at Pep Boys told me that if I change to this lower temperature thermostat that my truck will not run right and the computer will need to be changed.
2. What should my next engine mod or interior/exterior mod be. I have about $130 but have no problem saving up more money to buy things like a hood, etc. I have clear corners, APC Tailights, dash overlay (which I hope to remove and paint dash one day), Intense Performace Stage II intake, Gibson single side-swept exhaust and tinted windows. What next? I just do not know what to do next?
3. Does anyone anyone have pics of a dak on American Racing Piranhas, preferably 20"?
That's all my questions for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Keith

Message: 1. No you probably wont find RS T-Stats anywhere. I recommend getting your T-Stat application from Napa. It looks like a heavy duty, higher quality Stant stat. Your truck will love the 180F stat. You will not have problems and will not need to change the computer. Some people reset the computer but I dont think this is really necessary.
2. Next mod? Up to you. If you want performance, the next step should be upgrading your programming. A Hypertech programmer or a MP PCM make a decent improvement. Around $300
3. Nope. sorry bud
4. Raise or level... depends... 4x2 or 4x4?
4x2 = level & 20" chromies, 4x4 raise it up. Either will look bad azz
Good luck with your truck!
