 Subject: Loudest/Best Sound exhaust

I am wondering what the loudest and best sounding exhaust is. Right now i'm running a Borla exhaust with duals (2.5" piping, 3.5" tips) on the back and it doesn't seem to be very loud. It sounds good but this exhaust is mostly for performance. I'd like to get a muffler, not straight pipes, that's alot louder and better sounding.
What exhaust is the loudest? I had a 40 series Flowmaster on but it was messed up. I also had straight pipes and those were loud but didn't sound too well.
From what i've heard, Spintech is a very throaty and loud exhaust, but I can't seem to find a place that sells it. Where can I buy that? Or what other exhaust do u recommend? Any help would be great! Thanks,

i have a 3" catless spintech side exit system. www.southeastrt.com talk to john... wouldnt trade my exhaust for any other one, and i wont buy parts from anywhere else other than him. absolutely outstanding man to deal with, and extremely fast shipping. spintech didnt make a system how i wanted, so john pulled a string or two for me, and had the spintech people make a 'one-off' for me, at no charge.

Hey matt,
I have the spintech 3" in dual 2.5" coming straight out the back. It sounds good but isn't very loud. I was kind of disappointed at first. I used to have it straight piped and it was loud as hell and droned far too much in the cab. I'm used to the spintech now and it's built really well. I ordered mine directly from the spintech website www.spintechmufflers.com HOpe this helps a little

pete: How much did it cost? And is it a side exit? or rear dual exit? Thanks
rdakrt: See thats what I'm afraid of. At first I had the Borla muffler on with no dual piping and it was loud as hell inside and outside the cab. It sounded great! But after I put the duals on, it quieted the damn thing down and now its deep toned and throaty, but i sometimes find factory exhausts louder than than this one. I can't lose my duals either because they are running through the rollpan. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Definately go w/ Spintech's...I had Flowmaster 40's also and Spintech made a big difference in sound & performance...pulls harder now.

Do you think that the Spintech will be louder than my current exhaust now? I just don't want to spend alot of $ on this exhaust and not be pleased with it. I know that the 2.5" piping will quite an exhaust down. Do you think I'll be pleased? Thanks,

im not going to tell you exactly the price he gave me.. but i will tell you it was about half of what spintech charges. i have a dual side exit system. i have pics of how it looks, and underside/install pics, gimmie your email if you want them

i dont think a smaller diameter of pipe will quiet it down much...my friend had a mid 90's chevy 4x4 pick up and he had glass packs and 1 1/2" pipes going into 4" tips and it was LOUD...

i dont know what james bond has to do with mufflers, but where i come from, people dont disclose the price they pay for things through individuals. company - fine. I can tell you I bought a mountain dew for 1.09 this morning at the chevvron gas station right outside. However, If youre too lazy to email the person at the contact address I gave you..then thats youre own damn problem.

flowmaster is the best muffler for sounds and performance, unless of course, your too OLD and you dont want the exhaust to be "too loud" inside the cab, give me a break, if your going to have exhaust work done, do it right, wimps

You know guys having problems with getting your exhaust to sound "LOUD" maybe you need a bigger engine. No 3.9, 4.7 or 5.2 Will ever be as loud as a 5.9 R/T with dual flowmaster.
