last tuesday i raced a hemi at jax raceway in jacksonville florida i ran a 9.4 (75 shot) he ran a 10.4 in the 1/8. to me that is slow, because when my truck was stock i ran a 9.89 . where is all that 345 hp.

has anybody raced/driven a silverado SS yet? i saw one the other day and it was HUGE...its gotta be heavy, how can it be any faster than a lightning?...

well i read just about every truck magazine when they came out. I know that Sport Truck ran a 15.1 and several other mags got about the same results

I raced a rc hemi ram at our local 1/8 and he ran a 9.7 to my losing 10.21. Oh, did I mention mine is a Durango..talk about heavy!

sport truck mag did a lightning/ silverado ss shootout. the ss went a best of a 16.4 I beleive..... And the chevy guys call r/t's slow..hah

I believe there times were somewhat off! A stock SS will run a low to mid 15 depending on driver, the hemi reg. cabs have been running low to mid 15's at a substantially lower pricetag and the L's run mid 13's to high 13's with some low 13's and low 14's in the mix. Looking at the brands I would say the SS is very overpriced for what you get, the L I am partial to because I own one, and the Dodge is the best bang for the buck. Take into account I owned an R/T for 3 years before the L.
