I'm going to relocate my IAT sensor to my cold air intake tube, how far from the TB/Airhat should it be? How far down the tube? Closer to the filter?

Doing mine tonight and have been told to place it as far as way as possible but at least 4-6 inches from the air filter so no oil contaminants get on the sensor. You will likely find the wire is not very long and hence your movement will never get to close to the air filter.

will this make gas milage even worse since the computer will be sensing a cooler temperature and thus supplying more fuel for combustion?
