Well I bought a 2003 Dodge Dakota Club Cab.Must say very nice truck compared to my Ranger.Got the 4.7 and just had my exhaust change to the Raven system from Midias. Doesnt sound all that bad but not really what I was looking for .Wanted more of a rumble at idle. But for price and all it was worth it and didnt have to fuse with installing myself.

Well next time I will try something different but for now it will have to do. I mean it does sound better than stock and if you are not looking to bother people it is the way to go.

Actually for some reason i don't mind the resonance! If I could run with no exhaust I probably would. The louder the better 4 me.

rhlam96-

you'll find that as carbon deposits begin to build up on the inside of your muffler it'll start to sound better, especially at idle. you'll hear more of a rumble after a while.

I have the Ravin Z-55 on my V8 Dak as well...and I think it sounds fine as well. Nice and throaty.

Plus, you get the "lifetime guarantee" from Midas... which is a definite plus if anything ever goes wrong. :)

It is single in and out the 55 series. Cost was 241 and some change which was not that bad at all.

I looked at the Raven muffler when I was at Midas and was tempted. But in the end decided to go to a custom shop and have them install the Dynomax Turbo Flow. The system is fully welded including the hangers and included a Carsound cat. They had me in and out in less than 45 min. for $310. I'm very satisfied with the new system. The new cat solved 2 problems on my '88 V6. It would over rev on fast idle at startup when hot or cold and it would hesitate badly under light throttle at low speeds. The main reason I decided against the Ravin was the the tack welds I saw connecting the baffles to the muffler. It didn't look like a quality piece to me. JMO.
