those mods are for high end torque.

4.56 gears might help.

Yep, those mods definitely make for high-rpm power, not low end power. The 4.56 gears might do a little bit for the low end, but your truck will rev like a bumblebee when you go freeway speeds (55+ mph). About the only other thing you could do to regain some low end (and not spend a ton of money) would be to get a lower-lift cam.

A performance torque converter and some gearing should bring it to life.Should have stayed with the 2.02 int valves.Your low end is taking a beating from them. One of the Mopar mags had a great story on the cyl heads and the effect of valve sizes recently.Check some back issues.

I have heard that the M1 killslow end. I have also heard there is a device that can be installed in the M1 that really helps the engine kick a little lower. Turtle? Not sure what its called. Great help I was lol!

thanks for the help guys, i purchased the truck with the cam and the heads but i did about everything else. ive thought about 4.56's but i know when i hit the highway its gonna sound like a rice burner.
has anyone used a programer on their truck? if so did it do much for you??? also i have bosch platinum plugs in her right now should i really go with the autolites? im open to any suggestions you guys have. oh yeah one more question. i want a cut out for my exhaust but im wondering what its going to do to performance when its closed. my truck sounds sweet with that cam in it and i know it would sound even better at the track with it open

1. he already has a 2400 stall convertor..maybe needs a bigger one.
2. the m1 does not kill much low end.
and the turtle appears more effective on mild modded trucks...even then does'nt do a lot.
3. the 4.56 gears will raise rpm about 300 rpm at 70 mph.
4. the kind of programming you may need is $2000+ last I heard.(Fast).
5. Champions or autolites do well.
6. The cut out..don't you already have 3" duals?
with it closed it'll run like it does without cutout installed.
7. your in over your head.
8. Asking questions about the RT in here LOL.
9. Try the delphi RT forum.
10. 14.0 1/4 mile is my best guess and thats pushing it.

i agree about the cam...I'd call Dan the Fastman.
