Mr Wow,

The 4.7, in 2001 and up, comes with a

68 mm TB. Before that, a 66 mm. So no, he doesn't have overkill.

I guess you're thinking about the size of the TB's on those 1 cam engines?

wow,

I have significantly more mods than what's listed here...I'm just too lazy and don't have enough time to change it now. You'll notice that I'm only responding once or twice in a week as opposed to once or twice every hour (what can I say...I have a slack day job) like old times. I've gone about as far as I want to on a N/A engine...it's time for forced induction. 70mm will be too small before long (as will the injectors, fuel pump, etc...), and I will be upgrading to the F&B 72mm TB.

And Joey, it's cool. We were all 19 once (what I wouldn't give to be again)...

The 4.7 reg cab will outrun the r/t. both being stock. Mopar Now did an article on this debate and the 4.7 won every time they lined up. Dodge needs to be careful where they put r/t badges. just like chevy with their ss on the side of v6 monte carlos. If your not breaking at least low 14's off the showroom floor your not in the game anyway.

No 4.7L 5 speed with 3.92 LSD ever ran low 14's stock (low being 14.3 and under)...and if someone claims it, I guarantee they do not have a legitimate slip backing it up.

Hey 540 Camaro.... let's talk about MPG and hauling kegs of beer. I'll get 20 mpg while hauling 8 kegs. When I get done, I'm inching my way into the 13's in a 4150 lb pickup truck.

Your 540 Camaro may go fast, but that's all it does. Fast in a straight line. Way to go, there, buddy.

If I wanted to, I could build an all-motor Dart and take that Camaro to school.

Matt Barret went for numerous 14.4's with a home brew air intake, slicks and Lakewoods in his RC 4.7 stick truck.

Of course it helps that he was at Richmond Dragway, which is at about 40' above sea level.

alex...you want to talk MPG? Aside from the 68'camaro,I have an 01' RT. Not only does the 540 have over twice the HP right out of the box,it gets better gas mileage then my RT did off the showroom floor....that's SAD!

"Your 540 Camaro may go fast, but that's all it does. Fast in a straight line. Way to go, there, buddy."

You're right,it does go fast in a straight line. That's what it was built for, genius. How often do you race someone side by side, down a winding road, around blind corners...etc etc ?

PS...build your little Dart(lol, why you'd waste $$ building an ugly pos like that is beyond me)...and bring it on kid....I'll be waiting.

540 Camaro....Your like that little poodle down the street always barking all the time but never bighting until finally someone runs over you or your owner or (dad in your case) just puts you out of your misery. If you actually had a 540" motor you would have enough intellect not to be comparing it to a damn truck. Now take your hairless a$$ somewhere else. By the way talking about the 4.7 being a dog, its about 270 cubic inches, overhead cammed and can produce 300 horses naturally asp'd. It gets 18 miles to the gallon and will damn near run forever. And talking about a wanna be.......hehe! Stop barking little doggy!

Actually, it's over 286 CID, and can easily produce 350 HP N/A with the correct intake/exhaust/TB/cam/head/ECU setup.

I think you should just say it's a 287 CID. By the way are you saying your making 350 with your 4.7?
