 Subject: Question for K&N Intake users

I know that there is supposed to be a deeper intake sound after installing a K&N Gen 2 intake kit, but sometimes mine sounds like there is low pitched rattling sound when I am at full throttle.
I have double checked all the clamps and bolts and everything is tight. Anyone else get this sound sometimes with a K&N Intake?
I have a 02 Quad cab by the way with a 4.7.

Well mine had a deeper sound for a while and then after a couple thousand miles it started whistling and i couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so i just left it alone come to find out when i clean the filter that it had cracked.....i wasted all that money i finally took it off and i just bought an intense performace stage 3 much better...hope this may have helped

if it cracked u obviously put it too tight, u should never overtighten plastic pieces.

I am wondering if it's just vibrations caused by the intake. The sound can get so deep that it's most likely causing vibrations somewhere. Oh well, as long as everything it tight and secure.
