Subject: Unlevel suspension?

Message:
After takin' a closer look at the new ride today, I noticed that the entire passenger side of the truck sits 1" higher than the driver's side - fore and aft. Anybody got any idea as to what might be causing this? The truck is empty, and parked on a perfectly level driveway...and all of the tire pressures match...what do you think?

oh, come on! Somebody has to have experienced this. I mean, maybe the car dealer guy was just a little...shall we say...large. Either way, there has to be an explination...

Is your truck a 4x4? If so, you probably need to adjust the torsion bars. I had to on my 98 and my 99 4x4's. My 98 was off by 1 3/4", the 99 was off by an inch or so. So much for quality control.

all the trucks r like this... usually about a half inch or so because the gas tank is on the drivers side and the battery too.

My truck isn't like that. If you're sure the truck is on a level surface, you could adjust the front fairly easily with the torsion bars; remember to re-align afterwards.
