Subject: Weird Transmission Problem
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 96 with an automatic transmission. The transmission is not going into overdrive. Upon inspection nothing unusual is in the pan. My mechanic found the PCM to be reading the transmission temperature to be 8000 degrees, therefore not allowing the transmission to go into overdrive. All electrical parts in the transmission were replaced and it still didn't work. The wires from the transmission as I understand it were checked and are fine. Even the relay was checked and fine. If anyone has ever had this problem or has advice I would appreciate it.
