awsome. There is a gut at work egging me on to race him with my 4.7 but he keeps backing out, saying that it isn't broken in yet and I'd waste him cause of that....

Yeah i know ppl like that my buddie has a v6 camaro and he wont race me because he thinks the weight diff. would be unfare to me. He thinks its a muscle car but its a piece of crap.

I have two friends with V6 Camaros. I could beat them on a tri-cycle. A good Z28 or SS can be a beast tho.

I don't want to start and arguement or anything but I had a '96 3.8 Camaro with just the usual mods; cold air, catback and shift kit and it would run a 15.5 all day long with 3.08 none posi gears. Expecially on the highway I used to give the LS-1 z-28's a run for their money and still get 30 mpg. So they aren't horribly slow..they are just v-6's..

Thats what most RT's run 15.5 (exclude the highly modded Daks)and they have a 5.9,3.91 and a posi. So, yeah its slow but it has good company. later

dude i raced a 99 v6 firebird, was a buddy of mine.From a traffic light stop, i just stomped on it instantly spinning the tires and not going anywhere, but keep in mind his cant spin the tires so hes already a good bit infront of me.Well when i finally caught traction his ass was grass.
